Financial literacy is the confluence of financial, credit and debt management and the knowledge that is necessary for SMEs to make financially responsible decisions. Decisions that are integral to our everyday business. A lack of financial literacy is a major problem for SMEs in general.
Understanding basic money management skills such as operating within a budget and handling credit and debt is very important for all SMEs and most especially Startups. Having little or no knowledge regarding financial management can affect SMEs in many different aspects of their business life.
The HelpStation therefore seeks to equip SMEs and Startups with knowledge and skill on financial literacy to help entrepreneurs manage their businesses finance successfully. This is the first of the series on SME Financial Literacy Training. It has been designed for those thinking of starting a business, start-ups, and SMEs.
