TANOE hosts Executive from Engineers Without Borders in Ghana

The CEO of The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE), Mr. Ekow Mensah, on Monday, 24th of June, 2019 hosted Alina Lin, the Kumvana Fellowship Recruiter and Project Manager from Engineers without Borders (EWB) in Ghana.  The meeting was to discuss the Kumvana Fellowship Program and the possibility of getting TANOE involved in providing recruitment support for the fellows.

After a brief presentation on TANOE, its networks, projects and programs by Mr. Mensah, Alina gave a presentation on the Kumvana Fellowship Program and  explained that EWB’s Kumvana Fellowship brings together African social entrepreneurs and innovators for a transformative personal and professional leadership development experience.

She further stated that the program includes online learning, regional African retreats, and a 5-week intensive Canadian experience. Following two weeks of orientation and leadership in Toronto, Fellows are hosted by EWB’s Canadian chapters across the country who connect the Fellows with local leaders and organizations working on similar challenges. The program provides Fellows with the opportunity to develop new ideas, problem-solve, and learn from like-minded professionals so that they may enhance the social impact of their work.

It was exciting to note; according to Mr Mensah, the commitment of the program to inclusive recruitment and the strong encouragement of women and people living in rural settings to apply to program.

He applauded this timely initiative by EWB and pledged the commitment of TANOE and its Networks especially GirlEmpowered, WomanRising and WEGAD to promoting the program across its wide database.

This application for the program closes on July 7th, 2019 at 11:59 pm and further details https://ewb.humi.ca/job-board/fellowships+team/710
